How does Lore Drop work?
Open Lore Drop on your computer, then scan its pairing code from Inbox in Lore on your iPhone. Approve the computer on your phone. Drop or paste screenshots, add a note, and send them together. Your phone can be offline when you send.
What do the delivery statuses mean?
Sent to inbox means the encrypted capture is stored on the relay. Received by iPhone means Lore has saved it on your device. Open Lore or refresh Inbox to receive waiting captures. Optional notifications are a convenience, not a delivery receipt.
How long do captures wait?
Undelivered captures expire after seven days. Keep your originals until Received by iPhone appears. Closing a browser after Sent to inbox does not cancel the capture. Interrupted uploads can be retried in the same browser.
Can I use Lore without AI?
Yes. Record or type notes and import images without an API key. Image analysis has its own sharing permission. Demo mode uses fictional entries in a temporary offline journal.
Why is analysis waiting?
Review the status, sharing permission, your API key, and monthly spending cap in Lore. Check connectivity and your OpenAI account’s API credit and model access. A ChatGPT subscription does not include API credit.
Where is my Weekly Chronicle?
Open Insights after a completed Monday–Sunday week with at least three entries. The first partial week is excluded. Chronicle must be enabled, with sharing permission, a usable key, connectivity, and room under your spending cap.
Recording or transcription stopped
Check microphone and speech permissions in iPhone Settings. Transcription may require an Apple language asset. Keep the source recording and retry when available. An empty recording does not remove images already in Inbox.
Can I disconnect a computer?
Use Lore Drop settings on your iPhone to revoke a paired computer, or Disconnect in that browser. Disconnecting clears the browser’s local keys and pending encrypted uploads. Review delivery status before disconnecting.
How do I stop sharing or delete data?
Use Settings → Privacy to stop OpenAI sharing. Delete All Data removes your local journal and files and requests deletion of your remote inbox. Lore reports cleanup that still needs to be retried. Device backups and information already received by OpenAI are managed separately.
Before resetting storage
If Lore cannot open its journal, try reopening it first. The recovery screen explains when a fresh journal is needed and preserves an unreadable database for possible recovery. Do not delete all data if you still need help recovering it.
